2019 POLLS: APGA HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY HOPEFUL SUES FOR PEACE IN LAU, TARABA STATE

 

All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Candidate for  Lau  Constituency of Taraba State House of Assembly ahead of  the  2019 general elections, Barrister Anthony Galadima Danburam says the time has come to unite the various ethnic groups of the constituency following series of attacks and killing in recent times.

Danburam who is the immediate past Commissioner of Information of Taraba State decried the invasion of their once peaceful communities where everyone went about their lawful businesses regardless of ethnic and religious background assured he has the political and legislative experience to re- unite the people of the constituency.

In an exclusive interview with  Ziti News  in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital, Danburam explained that he is  in politics so as to bring development closer to the people, adding  that with his wealth of experience as pioneer Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, one time Executive Chairman of the Lau Local Government Council ,Member House of Assembly Service Commission ,seasoned Lawyer and immediate past commissioner of information of Taraba state, he is better placed to represent the good people of the constituency.

He promised to use legislative instrument if elected, to empower citizens across the constituency and the state to participate in governance process, calling on the people of Lau constituency not to repeat the mistake of the past where those whom they elected into power tend to be divisive and promote tendencies that do not seek to unite the people of the area.
