The professional public speaking and leadership Academy, PPSLA, Nigeria in collaboration with the High Stone Global University, Texas, U.S.A today launched a non-tuition scholarship for one thousand diploma, Post graduate Masters and PHD for Nigerians.
Speaking at the 2024 African Change Makers Accelerator Lecture Series and conferment of Doctorate Degree on some selected personalities from diverse fields who have exceled in what they do, Director General of the PPSLA, Amb Dr. Lotanna Okoye explained that the aim of the scholarship is to give more opportunity for Nigerians to enroll and obtain academic excellence without the numerous hitches experienced in other indigent schools.
According to him “The program has been designed to suit all shades of persons, from young to old people who wish to acquire knowledge and impact the society positively”.
He said the program will commence in November this year in Abuja, with the next phase spreading across twelve states in order to give opportunity for its wide spread.
Dr. Lottana who congratulated the 2024 awardees of the Academy urged them to do more in their fields especially in impacting the society positively.
In his keynote address at the event, CEO of Aladdin Digital and Switchly consult, Mr. Darlington Onyeagoro harped on the need for Nigerians to be more innovative, exploring the digital platforms available.
Onyeagoro said “everyone should aim at leaving behind something to be remembered for, I mean a legacy”.
He said Nigeria’s populations put at over two hundred million is a wide market which everyone can leverage to innovate, provide service, products that will reach out to impact a great number of people positively, thereby leaving footprints in which counts as legacy.
The event had Nine awardees for the 2024 series drawn from diverse fields who were found worthy given their excelling performances.
