Abuja came alive on Saturday, 22nd November, as the Abuja Women Dance Group hosted its annual “Healthy Steps Walk” drawing women from different backgrounds to walk, learn, grow, and step boldly into a better version of themselves.
Speaking with Ziti News, the convener, Ambassador Zainab Mohamed, said this year’s edition was designed to inspire and energize women through powerful conversations that promote wellness, purpose, and transformation. She said the walk aligned with the event’s theme, “Walking Into a New You,” which captures the need for women to continuously evolve.
Taking the lead in the motivational sessions, seasoned broadcaster and career coach ,Ogee Onazi encouraged women to embrace growth and rise above limitations. She emphasized that “it is time for growth” and urged participants to step confidently into new opportunities.
The momentum continued with business strategist Amandine Kouakou who challenged women to move from ideas to income by using business loans wisely to stabilize and expand their hustles.
Another speaker, Fatima Bliss Momoh urged women to remain focused and turn their creativity, culture, and digital skills into sustainable income streams. She stressed that the future belongs to women who are willing to innovate.
Rounding off the empowerment talks, Florence Tayo spoke passionately on self-love, reminding women to embrace their true selves and prioritize their emotional and mental well-being.
Participants described the Healthy Steps Walk as a unifying platform that brings women together, fosters support networks, and creates a safe space for growth.
Ambassador Zainab noted that the event goes beyond fitness. “It is about inspiring and uplifting women to discover purpose, find direction, and transform their lives,” she said.
The day ended with music, dance, and heartfelt conversations that left many women feeling renewed, confident, and ready to embrace a new version of themselves.
