The Women Leader of the Abia Development Association (ADO), Abuja, Noble Lady High Chief Charity Ohadiugha, has embarked on a familiarization tour of women groups from Isiala Ngwa North and Ikwuano Local Government Areas residing in Abuja.

The visits, which took place at the general meeting venues of both groups, were aimed at engaging with the women, listening to their concerns, and assessing their welfare.

High Chief Ohadiugha said the tour was designed to foster closer ties with grassroots women and to better understand their challenges in order to create meaningful support systems.

Key areas identified during her interactions included community development, through stronger social cohesion and empowerment initiatives, and capacity building, through training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of women.

She also encouraged the women to actively participate in the ADO Women Wing meetings, stressing the importance of unity and collective action.

In addition, Ohadiugha reminded the groups of the forthcoming ADO Women Wing election, urging them to nominate a woman of integrity and good reputation to represent their interests at the executive level.

According to her, “When women are united and empowered, the entire community grows stronger.”

The tour underscored the importance of grassroots engagement in driving development and improving the quality of life of women within the Abia Development Association.
