AIBEN Unveils Billion-Naira Bourdillon Hotel, Elevating Abuja’s Hospitality Scene

Abuja’s skyline just got a new symbol of luxury as AIBEN Investment and Properties Limited officially unveiled the multi-billion Naira Bourdillon Hotel in the highbrow Gwarinpa district a project its promoters say will redefine hospitality and tourism in Nigeria’s capital.

Speaking at the grand opening, Chief Andrew Elerewa, Chief Executive Officer of AIBEN Group, described the project as a “dream fulfilled” and a testament to the company’s faith in Nigeria’s economic and tourism potential.

“I feel elated and deeply fulfilled. Seeing this dream come to life after years of hard work is humbling,” Elerewa said. “This hotel isn’t just a building; it’s a statement of confidence in our country’s tourism future and a contribution to national development.”

The opulent Bourdillon Hotel, according to Elerewa, will not only elevate Abuja’s hospitality standards but also create hundreds of jobs and contribute to government revenue through taxes and levies.

He called on the government to sustain policies that encourage private investment, stressing that tourism remains one of the most underutilized sectors in Nigeria.

“Tourism is a money-spinning industry. If countries without oil can thrive on tourism, Nigeria with its culture and diversity can do even better,” he said.

The Project Manager, Ajayi Simeon, noted that Bourdillon Hotel was conceived to “set a new global standard” in comfort, design, and service delivery.

“We benchmarked against the best. What we have here can stand anywhere in the world,” Simeon said, adding that AIBEN ensures fair pay and staff welfare as part of its commitment to excellence.

Adding an emotional touch to the ceremony, Mr. Timothy Elerewa, a veteran journalist and father of the AIBEN CEO, hailed the project as “a landmark achievement” that reflects both personal fulfillment and national contribution.

“Twenty years ago, I couldn’t have imagined this. With over 600 staff across AIBEN’s hotels, my son is helping to reduce unemployment and strengthen the economy,” he said, praising the FCT Administration under Minister Nyesom Wike for improving infrastructure that attracts investors.

With the unveiling of Bourdillon Hotel, AIBEN strengthens its growing portfolio of high-end properties and reinforces its role as a key driver in Abuja’s fast-growing hospitality and tourism sector
