Bola Ahmed Tinubu Vanguard (BAT Vanguard), a prominent support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to adopt a culture of satisfaction and refrain from actions that harm the nation’s economic stability.
The call was made by the group’s National Convener, Hon. Sola Olofin, at a grand New Year party hosted in Abuja, where the group honored its members and celebrated President Tinubu’s achievements.
Olofin emphasized that Nigerians should move away from sabotaging the economy and instead embrace contentment in their daily lives.
He cited the role of BAT Vanguard in supporting President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, especially through outreach efforts aimed at assisting the needy, including providing support to hospital patients unable to pay their bills.
Reflecting on the group’s journey, Olofin shared that BAT Vanguard, established in 2019, had played a crucial role in encouraging President Tinubu to run for office. The organization began with just four members, and has grown to a nationwide movement with coordinators in all states and the Local Government Areas.
Olofin praised several achievements of the Tinubu administration, particularly the autonomy granted to local governments and the ongoing revitalization of the country’s refineries. He revealed that fuel prices are already beginning to decrease, and predicted that Nigerians will soon see fuel sold for as low as 500 Naira per liter, offering relief to those struggling with rising costs.
Addressing concerns over greed and exploitation, Olofin urged Nigerians to refrain from overpricing goods or exploiting situations for personal gain, stressing that such actions exacerbate the difficulties faced by the common people.
The event, chaired by Sheu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, was attended by several government officials.
Highlighting the growing influence of BAT Vanguard in Nigeria’s political landscape, Olofin concluded with a commitment to continue working alongside the government to identify and address the needs of the masses.
