The Benue State Government has challenged stakeholders to move beyond ideas and turn the decisions of the Benue 2035 Economic Transformation Summit into real projects, jobs and better lives for the people.
Deputy Governor, Barr. Dr. Sam Ode, MNI, gave the charge on Tuesday while closing the second day of the summit.
Ode said the discussions had moved from broad plans to a clearer focus on the priorities and practical steps needed to transform the state by 2035.
He urged participants to ensure that the ideas developed at the summit do not end in the conference hall, but lead to measurable actions, new investment opportunities, stronger businesses, jobs and improved living conditions.
According to him, the task of transforming Benue cannot be left to government alone.
He said the public sector, private businesses, development partners, communities and ordinary citizens must work together to achieve the state’s economic goals.
“I commend all the working groups and participants for the quality of their contributions, constructive engagement and commitment to the transformation of our State,” Ode said.
The Deputy Governor, who spoke on behalf of Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia thanked development partners, private sector leaders, technical experts and other participants for their contributions to the summit.
He called on stakeholders to maintain the momentum generated during the summit and begin the journey from planning to implementation.
Ode later formally declared Day Two of the Benue 2035 Economic Transformation Summit closed, with a renewed call for collective action to build a more prosperous Benue.
