The Group Managing Director of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), Dr. Raymond Asemakaha-CFA, has urged youths in Benue State to take control of their destinies by embracing innovation, entrepreneurship, and resilience as tools to reshape their future.
Delivering a keynote address at the WIN CONFERENCE 1.0, 2025, held at NNAM Hall in Makurdi, Dr. Asemakaha recounted his own struggles after graduating from the university, including living in uncompleted buildings in Abuja. He encouraged the youths to draw strength from perseverance and reject negative cultural practices that limit economic growth.
He stressed that the challenges confronting the state should be seen as opportunities for young people to explore new ideas, create value, and establish businesses that will not only empower them but also transform Benue’s economy.
“The future belongs to young people who can rethink their approach to life, rebuild their mindset, and commit to enterprise and creativity,” Dr. Asemakaha said.
To further encourage participants, the BIPC boss donated five laptops and seed capital to presenters at the event to support their business ideas.
Convener of the conference, Mirabel Ibyiem, commended Dr. Asemakaha for his support, pledging to sustain the initiative as a platform to stimulate economic activities and empower young entrepreneurs in the state.
