BIPC Opens Registration for Orange Farmers Ahead of Concentrate Factory Test-Run

The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has called on major orange farmers and sellers across Benue State to register with the company as it prepares to commence the test-run of its newly established Benfruits Concentrate Factory.

According to a statement signed by the management, the company is set to receive its first batch of 20 truckloads of oranges on or before September 30, 2025**, strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

The registration exercise, ongoing at the BIPC Headquarters in Makurdi, is designed to build a comprehensive database of farmers involved in the orange value chain while also helping to reduce post-harvest losses in the state.

“All interested major orange farmers are advised to complete their registration at the BIPC Headquarters, Makurdi,” the management stated, providing official hotlines for enquiries.

The move marks a critical step in BIPC’s strategy to promote agro-processing, boost local production, and create value for farmers in Benue, widely regarded as the “Food Basket of the Nation.”

With the test-run of the concentrate factory, Benue’s orange farmers are expected to benefit from expanded market opportunities, reduced waste, and improved incomes.
