Bishop Blossom Innocent Charges Women to Rise as ‘Combatant Warriors’ in Faith and Life

By Queen Kunde

Women have been urged to rise as “combatant warriors” in faith and life, equipped with courage, wisdom, and spiritual strength to face today’s challenges head-on.

This charge was delivered by Bishop Dr. Blossom Innocent, a renowned Pentecostal cleric, during a three-day empowerment conference of the World Harvest Women Fellowship International, themed “The Combatant Woman.”

The event, which drew Christian women from across the country, served as a platform for renewal, reflection, and empowerment, urging women to take their rightful place as spiritual leaders and pillars of strength in their homes, churches, and society.

Preaching from Genesis 3:15, Bishop Blossom declared that the “combatant woman” is not a figure of weakness but one of divine power and purpose.

“She is not a minus; she is the answer,” Bishop Blossom said. “Every woman must awaken and take her position. You must be wise enough to bruise the serpent’s heel with boldness and strategy.”

She dismissed outdated notions that limit women to domestic confines, calling instead for spiritual alertness, emotional balance, and what she termed “holy aggression.”

“You cannot remain silent or passive,” she charged. “A combatant woman doesn’t give up she prays, she pushes, and she prevails.”

Bishop Blossom warned against complacency and spiritual ignorance, describing life as a battlefield that requires both spiritual and mental preparedness. She urged women to embrace spiritual intelligence the wisdom to discern, act, and stand firm in prayer.

Quoting Proverbs 18:10, she reminded the congregation that “the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe,” emphasizing faith as the foundation of a victorious life.

According to her, the true strength of a “combatant woman” lies in discernment, discipline, resilience, and courage, qualities that enable women to confront life’s storms with confidence.

The programme featured playlets, choral performances, and exhortations.
In her closing remarks, Bishop Dr. Kate Kawas of World Harvest Ministries and Proprietress of Lekced International School urged participants to see the moment as one of sober reflection and renewed commitment to God’s service.

The conference ended on a high note, with participants pledging to live as “combatant women” steadfast in prayer, purpose, and power.
