I bring you good tidings, as we kick off the campaigns for 2023 general elections, Iwish to appeal to you to consider merit as your reasons for the choice of who will govern the affairs of our Taraba State.
This is because, there is more that needs to be done for our Taraba State and our people now more than ever, we cannot afford to be left behind when critical discussions or things that will keep bringing developments to our state is being ignored while other states are doing well.
I strongly believe Hon. Danladi Baido Tijo will serve Taraba State as Governor and represent US effectively seeing all he is doings in his Federal Constituency where he currently serves as a member at the National Assembly.
To demonstrate his readiness to serve the entire State, he has recently visited all the stakeholders and members across board for consultation to inform them of what he want to for a greater Taraba State to be birthed.
I believe that his Manifesto is all encompassing, such that benefits all facets of life.
We should act swiftly, consistently bearing in mind the future of our children and children yet unborn, when taking decision that will be far reaching which for now is to vote in a govern that can guarantee a bright future for Tarabans, that person is known other than Hon. Danladi Baido.
Finally, let me urge all party faithful, the good people of Taraba State to remain more hopeful, peaceful before, during and after the election. We must eschew every form violence, ignore anything that is capable of dividing us, we are brothers and sisters. If we steak together united in this purposeful dream, we will achieve easier.

Hon. Danladi Baido was born on 17th March 1967 to Rev. Baido Joseph Tijo & Mrs. Maryam Baido in Jalingo.
One word to describe Danladi Baido would be fiery because there is a passionate aura about him that is at once compelling and almost daunting. It is the aura of a person not only used to living on his own terms, but determined to live it to the fullest. He is a rare breed with the ability to say exactly what he means with no qualms even when swimming against the tide! Danladi Baido symbolizes the leading political luminary of our time, determined to live his dreams by making people see leadership moving towards them, he is resolute about following his passion, whilst still keeping his head firmly above water.

As a commissioner of Finance he headed the government’s body that manages the finances of Taraba State Government, including controlling, monitoring state revenues (IGR) and expenditure.

The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs supervises the activities of all local government and traditional rulers in Taraba State. Ensuring they are in line with the states development goals. It serves as the fundamental channel for funds allocation from state government to the area councils to stimulate economy development at the micro level. As chairman Joint Account he is saddled with the responsibility of supervising the distribution and efficient management of revenue accruing to the local government councils from the federation account, in during his tenure in that capacity, LGAs in Taraba State witnessed significant positive progress both in human and infrastructural development.

He served as Director Finance & Logistics; he was responsible for all preparations towards elections, campaign strategist, finance and logistics for Nyame re-election 2003 and this in no small measure contributed to the victory.

Hon. Danladi Baido, didn’t proceed to higher institution like most of his mates; he took an uncommon decision by diving into politics at that very tender age. As such a smart and calm person that he is, he instantly got appointed as Barade Ward party secretary (SDP). He worked tirelessly at his capacity then for the election of his political father and mentor as the first civilian Governor of Taraba State in 1991. After the elections he was appointed personal Aide to the Executive Governor Rev. Jolly T. Nyame until the military truncates the second republic. Being a loyalist, he stocked to his principal, while they venture into other private businesses in and outside Taraba State until the return of democracy.
Baido, has always believed in contributing and giving back to the society where he lives in. His style of leadership overtime symbolizes leadership nothing to do with position. To him winning elections or getting appointed is only formalizing his position as a leader and enlarged the scope of his influence and impact. His ability to unite people and galvanize support from previous elections to his own, even while he was out of government shows that, leadership can strive without authority. He didn’t need a formal title to display his leadership qualities. Hon. Baido, has proven that all you need is the capacity to influence and motivate others to move towards a goal and this can be done at all levels.
Current serving as a Federal Lawmaker, he has ensured that his constituents continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy, hence Tarabans must trust him to deliver a better Taraba come 2023.
