As Muslims across Nigeria and the world mark Eid al-Adha, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Chapel, has extended warm greetings to Muslim journalists and the entire Ummah, urging reflection, unity, and national cohesion.
In a heartfelt Eid message signed by Comrade Ngozi Ufomba, Chairperson of NUJ FCTA Chapel, the union celebrated the values of faith, sacrifice, and devotion embodied in the season of Eid al-Kabir. The statement emphasized the importance of spiritual reflection and obedience, drawing inspiration from the example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
“May Allah accept your sacrifices and bless you with joy, peace, and prosperity,” the message read. “We pray that this sacred period strengthens our faith, unites our communities, and inspires us all to become better versions of ourselves.”
The NUJ FCTA Chapel also called on journalists to remain steadfast in promoting truth, peace, and national unity, particularly in these times of social and political challenges.
“As we commemorate this holy festival, let us reflect on the significance of selflessness, patience, and devotion to the will of Allah,” the union urged, reaffirming its commitment to professional excellence and harmonious coexistence.
The message concludes with prayers for mercy, righteousness, and a deepened commitment to nation-building.
