The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated Comrade Ebriku John Friday on his recent appointment as the Senior Special Adviser (SSA) on Data Analytics to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Felix Ojo, and Secretary, Henrietta Momodu, the chapel described Friday’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his competence, dedication, and professionalism in journalism and digital media.

“Comrade Ebriku Friday is a distinguished member of our chapel whose career has been marked by a strong commitment to excellence, civic accountability, and youth empowerment. His appointment reflects not only his vast experience but also the value of quality journalism and data-driven governance,” the statement said.

The chapel also commended Governor Otu for identifying and appointing a seasoned media professional whose background in advocacy, community development, and governance issues would undoubtedly add strategic value to his administration.

Known for his track record with major newspaper outlets and digital platforms, Ebriku Friday has consistently used the power of media to drive campaigns for transparency, development, and youth inclusion.

The FCT NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel expressed confidence that the new SSA would deliver on his mandate with integrity and innovation, contributing meaningfully to the development of Cross River State and the broader national discourse.

“We are proud of his journey and believe his presence in the Governor’s team will bring insightful perspectives to data-driven policy making and governance,” the statement concluded.
