Transcorp Hilton Abuja has announced the appointment of seasoned hospitality executive Martin Zarybnicky as its new General Manager, effective August 1, 2025.
With over 30 years of experience leading world-class hotels across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, Zarybnicky returns to the Hilton family after a successful tenure at Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort in Egypt. His career also spans senior leadership roles in Thailand, Russia, and other high-profile destinations, earning him multiple international awards for operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

Hilton’s Vice President of Operations for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean, Andreas Lackner, described Zarybnicky as “an excellent fit” for the Abuja flagship property, noting his proven track record in driving strategic growth, leading renovations, and positioning hotels for long-term success.
Zarybnicky, who described Nigeria as “a leading hub for inclusive growth in Africa,” pledged to uphold Hilton’s global standards while showcasing “the warmth and excellence of genuine Nigerian hospitality.”
As General Manager, he will oversee operations at the 668-room landmark hotel one of the largest in sub-Saharan Africa since opening its doors in 1987.
Transcorp Hilton Abuja, owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc and located in the heart of the capital’s commercial district, remains a key player in the nation’s hospitality sector, hosting dignitaries, global events, and leisure travellers from around the world.
