The National President of the Association of Army, Navy and Air Force Widows, Mrs. Maria Emmanuel, has reaffirmed her commitment to the welfare of military widows and orphans across Nigeria as she marked her birthday with colleagues, friends and well-wishers.
The June 4 celebration attracted representatives of the association from across the armed forces community, who gathered to honour her leadership and service to widows of fallen military personnel.
The event was marked by an outpouring of goodwill messages, prayers and tributes from members of the association and friends, highlighting her dedication to improving the lives of military widows and their families.
Speaking during the celebration, Mrs. Emmanuel dedicated the special day to God and to military widows across the country who continue to bear the pain of losing their spouses in service to the nation.
She expressed gratitude to everyone who joined in celebrating with her and appreciated the support she has received over the years.
Mrs. Emmanuel pledged to remain steadfast in championing better welfare, support and opportunities for widows and orphans of military personnel, noting that their wellbeing remains a priority.
The celebration ended on a joyful note as guests offered prayers for her continued strength, good health and success in her efforts to advance the cause of military widows nationwide.
