Nigeria’s identity management infrastructure, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has officially launched NIN Authentication Service (NINAuth)—a next-generation digital solution aimed at transforming how Nigerians verify and authenticate their identities when accessing government services.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has given the green light for mandatory use of NINAuth across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), signaling a unified national push toward enhanced digital security and streamlined public service delivery.
NINAuth is a cutting-edge suite of identity verification tools, including web, mobile, and API solutions, designed to empower citizens with greater control over their personal data, while ensuring real-time, secure access to services like passport processing, SIM registration, tax filing, and more.
“This is a bold step toward a digitally empowered Nigeria,” said Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC. “With NINAuth, we are putting security, transparency, and user autonomy at the heart of public service.”
Key highlights of NINAuth include:
? Enhanced Data Security
? User-Controlled Consent for KYC
? Real-Time Identity Verification
? One-Tap Access via Mobile App
Nigerians are encouraged to download the NINAuth App on the Google Play Store and Apple iOS App Store, or visit ninauth.nimc.gov.ng for implementation guides and onboarding resources.
With this launch, the Tinubu administration reaffirms its commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, championing a safer, smarter, and more connected Nigeria.
