Nigeria’s First Lady and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, is set to officially visit Benue State on Tuesday this week.
A press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor, Tersoo Kula, indicates that the visit forms part of the Renewed Hope Initiative, a nationwide program dedicated to empowering women, strengthening families, and improving the well-being of vulnerable groups across the country.
According to the statement, the First Lady will interface with women and beneficiaries of the initiative as part of efforts to deepen its impact at the grassroots.
During the visit, Mrs Tinubu, is expected to commission 10 newly completed roads in Makurdi town, out of the over 45 delivered by the Alia led administration.
“Governor Hyacinth Alia, has expressed his pleasure at the forthcoming visit and is looking forward to receiving the nation’s First Lady.
The governor described the visit “as another positive step in the collaborative efforts of the Federal and State Governments to improve the lives of citizens, especially women and families”, the statement added.
