NIMC Boosts Diaspora NIN Services with Major Platform Upgrade

By Queen Kunde

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has successfully upgraded its diaspora enrolment platform to enhance efficiency, security, and service delivery for Nigerians living abroad.

In a statement signed by Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications, the Commission said the revamped system will deliver a seamless and more robust National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment process for Nigerians in the Diaspora.

All NIMC’s Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been onboarded onto the upgraded system, with intensive training conducted to ensure effective management. The Commission has directed all FEPs to obtain and activate their licences on the new platform within 48 hours, after which diaspora applicants can access services from fully compliant partners.

NIMC apologised for any inconvenience experienced during the upgrade process and has deployed a dedicated service team to promptly address enrolment-related issues. Nigerians abroad facing challenges are urged to contact nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for assistance.

The Commission also reassured that NIN enrolment continues uninterrupted across all centres in Nigeria, with details of locations available at www.nimc.gov.ng. Additionally, Nigerians at home and abroad can update their data through the self-service modification portal, while NIN holders are encouraged to download the NIMC NINAuth App for instant verification and better control over personal data.
