NIMC DG Bags award for Excellence in Identity Management

The Director General and CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, has been conferred with an honorary doctoral degree by the African University of Science and Technology, AUST, in recognition of her immense contributions towards nation building.

The prestigious recognition was awarded during the university’s 10th Convocation ceremony, held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Abuja.

In a statement made available to Ziti News by the head of corporate communications unit of NIMC, Dr. Kayode Adegoke stated that the honor celebrates Engr. Coker-Odusote’s exceptional contributions to national development, particularly her transformative leadership in identity management since assuming her role at NIMC.

Expressing her gratitude, Engr. Coker-Odusote thanked AUST for the acknowledgment and reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the nation’s progress.

According to her, “This honor inspires me to continue striving for impactful contributions to our country’s development”.

The event highlights the growing recognition of leaders driving innovation and nation-building in critical sectors.
