In a bold stride toward institutional transformation, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has signed a landmark Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) contract — a major milestone aimed at deepening accountability, transparency, and efficiency in public service delivery.
The signing ceremony, held on October 6, 2025, at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, marked another achievement under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, reflecting the Federal Government’s resolve to modernize public institutions for optimal performance.
The event brought together NIMC’s Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, alongside departmental heads, unit leaders, and representatives of Triple Edge Consult — the implementing partner.
In her welcome remarks, Head of Human Capital Management, Mrs. Rhoda Jackden, described the EPMS as a vital tool for aligning individual and organisational goals. “This system will serve as a catalyst for improved productivity and stronger internal accountability,” she noted, emphasizing its role in fostering a performance-driven culture across all levels of the Commission.
Barrister Olusegun Adekunle, Team Lead for Triple Edge Consult, explained that the EPMS framework offers measurable and transparent performance indicators tailored to drive institutional efficiency. “It provides NIMC with the capacity to monitor progress, measure outcomes, and enhance service delivery to Nigerians,” he said.
For NIMC, the EPMS represents a structured, data-driven approach to performance measurement and evaluation, with defined indicators designed to boost productivity, accountability, and service excellence.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Coker-Odusote commended the initiative and urged staff to embrace the system fully. “This is the beginning of a new culture of performance and excellence at NIMC,” she said. “We must all take ownership of this process to ensure we deliver on the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
She further revealed that departmental cascades have already commenced to ensure full alignment of all units with the EPMS framework.
The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the EPMS contract by the DG, departmental heads, and unit representatives, a symbolic step that signals NIMC’s transition into a new era of data-driven performance management and service innovation.
With this milestone, NIMC has set a new benchmark for institutional accountability, paving the way for improved public trust, operational efficiency, and service delivery excellence.
