The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has heightened security measures to prevent any potential unrest.

Dr. Umar JG Mohammed, the Commandant, in a statement issued by Spokesman of the ASC 1 Ayoola Michael Shola warned individuals who might attempt to use the protest as an opportunity for criminal activities.

Dr. Mohammed stated that the command is on high alert, implementing strong measures to maintain law and order before, during, and after the protest.

He emphasized that the NSCDC will not allow any group to cause chaos or damage vital national assets and infrastructure.

Comprehensive security deployments will be made across the state to protect lives and property.

Acknowledging the citizens’ right to protest, Dr. Mohammed urged the youth and other participants to express their grievances peacefully and legally, ensuring that public safety and national security are not jeopardized.

He reassured law-abiding residents of Kwara to carry on with their daily activities without fear, as rigorous measures are in place to handle any threats that may arise.
