The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, Comrade Grace Ike, has congratulated Dr. Mrs. Abimbola Oyetunde on her appointment as Bureau Chief for the FRCN Network News Annex in Lagos and Deputy Director of News.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Comrade Ike hailed the appointment as a well-earned recognition of Dr. Oyetunde’s “exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and commitment to journalistic excellence.”
Dr. Oyetunde, who also made history as the first female Deputy National President of the NUJ, has long been a trailblazer in the media industry, earning respect for her resilience, professionalism, and contributions to national discourse.
“Her remarkable journey inspires countless women aspiring to leadership roles in journalism,” Ike said. “I am confident her visionary leadership will strengthen FRCN’s news operations and uphold the highest standards of ethical and impactful reporting.”
The NUJ-FCT Council extended best wishes to Dr. Oyetunde for a tenure marked by innovation, integrity, and transformative service to the profession.
