The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has forged a strategic partnership with the Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE) to boost transparency and public trust in Nigeria’s pension system.

PTAD’s Executive Secretary, Tolulope Odunaiya, on Tuesday hosted ACOE’s leadership in Abuja as part of efforts to strengthen public awareness and tackle systemic challenges that have long plagued pension administration.

ACOE Chairman, Sola Akingboye, commended PTAD’s reforms, including the “I Am Alive Confirmation” (IAAC) platform, which has replaced costly and stressful physical verification for retirees. He noted that the initiative not only safeguards pensioners’ welfare but also saves the Federal Government significant resources.

“Under your leadership, we’ve seen real measures to combat pension fraud and improve payment efficiency. ACOE stands ready to amplify these reforms through our platforms,” Akingboye assured.

Odunaiya, in response, praised the media’s “inestimable” role in simplifying complex information and holding institutions accountable. “The media is a champion of clarity,” she said. “Partnerships like this will help amplify our efforts, reaching Nigerians at home and abroad.”

She pledged PTAD’s readiness to work closely with ACOE to restore dignity and trust to Nigeria’s pension system, adding that the agency’s doors remain open for sustained collaboration.
