The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has launched its revised Service Charter, themed “A Renewed Commitment to Service Excellence,” signaling a new era of transparency, accountability, and improved service delivery under the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme (DBS).

The unveiling ceremony, held Wednesday at PTAD headquarters in Abuja, drew key government and pension industry stakeholders, including the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, CFA, and the Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms. Omolola Oloworaran. Their presence underscored the significance of the milestone in strengthening public trust and enhancing pensioners’ experiences.
In her goodwill message, Dr. Uzoka-Anite applauded PTAD’s initiative, describing it as a step toward setting new benchmarks in public service delivery. “Pensioners deserve unwavering commitment to their welfare and dignity,” she said, adding that the revised charter would foster stronger confidence between retirees and government institutions. She pledged the Ministry’s continued support for PTAD’s reforms.
Executive Secretary of PTAD, Tolulope Odunaiya, emphasized that the charter was “more than a document.” She described it as “a covenant with pensioners and stakeholders,” reflecting PTAD’s resolve to deliver services with empathy, innovation, professionalism, and timeliness.
Also delivering a goodwill message, PenCom DG, Ms. Oloworaran, commended PTAD’s collaborative spirit in the pension ecosystem. She noted that service standards were essential to enhancing transparency and efficiency, while reinforcing long-term sustainability of Nigeria’s pension system.
Additional commendations came from SERVICOM, the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), and pension unions, all of whom urged PTAD to remain resolute in upholding its responsibilities and commitments.
With the revised Service Charter, stakeholders gained fresh insight into PTAD’s evolving service standards and innovative measures aimed at enriching the service experience of pensioners nationwide.
