Taraba CSOs pledge to Partner TACA

The Taraba State Coalition of Civil Society Organisations ,CSOs,  have appealed to the  government to complement the effort of the Civil society Organisations working in the State by appointing members of the  CSOs into  boards and parastatals according to laws that prescribed them.

The Coalition  led by its  Chairman,  Gimba Joseph  made the appeal at a courtesy visit on the new Director General of Taraba Agency for the Control of AIDS, TACA,  Dr Garba Danjuma on Friday in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital.

He said that their visit  to the agency is to congratulate the Director- General on his appointment by the Government of Taraba State and assure him of the CSOs support.

Gimba who gave a brief overview of the coalition’s activities said that various member- organisations working within the coalition have implemented several  projects that have impacted positively on the society also enumerated areas like project partnership and development such as Official Development Assistance , Open Government Partnership etc.

 In his response,  Director -General Taraba Agency for the Control of AIDS, TACA, Dr Danjuma Garba who expressed  happiness for the visit  said  the agency has a mandate of working with Civil Society Organisations and partners to impact on the work of HIV/AIDS intervention in Taraba State .

 Garba who hailed the complimentary role of the civil society Organisations and their focus,  Harped on the importance of data and synergy.
