…BIPC Board Inspects Factory, Eyes Full Production

The Board of Directors of the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has inspected ongoing rehabilitation work at Taraku Mills Limited ahead of a planned test run of the factory this weekend.
The inspection, led by the Group Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, CFA, focused on the progress of maintenance work and preparations to restart operations at the mill.
Dr. Asemakaha took the Board around the facility, explaining the work already completed and the steps being taken to get the factory ready for production. He assured the Board that the mill would undergo a test run during the weekend as part of efforts to restore it to full operation.
The Chairman of the Board, Lady Elizabeth M.N. Shuluwa, praised the GMD, technical team and staff of Taraku Mills for their commitment to bringing the facility back to life.
Lady Shuluwa also thanked the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his support and commitment to reviving the state’s industrial assets.
She urged the people of Benue State to support the efforts to restore Taraku Mills and other state-owned industries, saying such support would help create jobs, increase economic activity and strengthen the state’s industrial base.
The planned test run marks another step in efforts to return Taraku Mills to productive use after years of inactivity.
