The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has unveiled a new Anti-Corruption Policy Document aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability and ethical conduct across the company.
The policy was unveiled on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at TCN’s Corporate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, by the company’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU).
Speaking at the event, TCN Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, represented by the Executive Director, Human Resources and Corporate Services, Mrs. Abiodun Afolabi-Fadahunsi, described the document as an important step in reinforcing the company’s commitment to ethical standards and zero tolerance for corruption.
Abdulaziz said TCN’s credibility depended not only on what it achieved but also on how it achieved its results.
He urged staff to study the policy and apply its principles in their daily decisions and official duties.
The TCN chief also commended the ACTU and others who contributed to the development of the document, saying its purpose went beyond preventing corruption to promoting honesty, fairness, accountability, transparency and professionalism.
He called on all employees to support the implementation of the policy and uphold its principles in carrying out their responsibilities.
Earlier, the Chairman of TCN ACTU, Mrs. E. Benibo, said the unveiling was more than the presentation of a policy document, describing it as a demonstration of the collective commitment of management and staff to integrity, transparency and accountability.
Benibo said corruption weakens institutions, erodes public trust and wastes valuable resources, adding that fighting it requires the commitment of every member of staff.
Also speaking, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) representative and ACTU Desk Officer attached to TCN, Mrs. Monsurat Ajoke Ifeajika, gave an overview of the policy.
She said the document would help shape staff conduct, guide decision-making and strengthen institutional systems.
According to her, the policies provide guidance on preventing, detecting, reporting and responding to unethical and corrupt practices.
The highlight of the event was the formal unveiling of the TCN Anti-Corruption Policy book.
