TINUBU MOVES TO CRUSH OYO KIDNAPPERS, APPROVES 1,000 FOREST GUARDS

TINUBU MOVES TO CRUSH OYO KIDNAPPERS, APPROVES 1,000 FOREST GUARDS

By Queen Kunde

A support group, Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV), has expressed confidence that the students and teachers abducted from two communities in Oyo State will be rescued safely following fresh security measures approved by President Bola Tinubu.
The group praised the Federal Government’s decision to immediately recruit 1,000 forest guards and deploy additional security resources to track down the kidnappers and secure the victims’ release.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Chukwudi Enekwechi, and Secretary, Segun Ogedengbe, TMV also commended the recent visit of a high-powered Federal Government delegation led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, to the affected communities.
According to the group, the President’s swift response demonstrates empathy for the victims and a strong commitment to protecting the lives of Nigerians.
TMV noted that other measures approved by the President include the establishment of a military outpost in the area and the deployment of a specialised security unit to hunt down and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the attack.
“We believe these decisive actions will not only ensure the safe return of the kidnapped students and teachers but also strengthen security in the area,” the statement said.
The group described the recruitment of forest guards as a major step towards tackling insecurity in vulnerable communities, adding that it could pave the way for broader security reforms, including the eventual establishment of state police.
TMV also applauded President Tinubu’s declaration that no child should be denied access to education because of kidnapping or insecurity.
The group urged Nigerians to support ongoing government efforts to combat insecurity, stressing that security remains a collective responsibility.
The abduction of the students and teachers sparked widespread outrage across the country, with many Nigerians demanding urgent action to secure their release and bring the perpetrators to justice.
