Nigeria’s manufacturing sector witnessed a milestone on Tuesday as Worldwide Technologies Limited was awarded the Civil Society Plaque of Honour for Transparency and Public Accountability.
The award, presented by the National Civil Society Coalition on Transparency and Public Accountability (NCSCTPA) under the coordination of the Centre for Leadership and Creative Entrepreneurs in Africa Ltd/GTE (CELCE-AFRICA), recognised the company’s four decades of integrity, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.

The official ceremony at the company’s Lagos office drew civil society leaders, corporate stakeholders, and the media, marking a celebration of principle-driven leadership.
Amb. Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze, Director General/CEO of CELCE-AFRICA and Lead Convener of NCSCTPA, hailed the recognition as civil society’s affirmation that transparency and accountability are measurable values that elevate companies and nations alike.
“This plaque is more than an award. It is a seal of affirmation that transparency and accountability are not abstract ideals. Worldwide Technologies has shown they can be lived, measured, and impactful,” he said.
Nwanze highlighted the company’s 40-year legacy as Nigeria’s trusted one-stop shop for pharmaceutical machinery and supplies, as well as its partnerships with world-class firms serving pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, cosmetics, and chemicals—critical sectors for national growth.
Receiving the award, Mr. Nse Enoch, Managing Director/CEO of Worldwide Technologies Limited, expressed gratitude to the coalition, pledging to deepen the company’s commitment to ethical practices and industry excellence.

The event also featured the unveiling of CELCE-AFRICA’s new publication, “Rethinking Leadership through Design: A Pathway for People-Centric Leadership”, aimed at advancing advocacy for accountability and people-centered governance.
The ceremony concluded with a strong message from civil society: Nigeria’s sustainable industrial growth rests firmly on transparency and accountability.
